ThinCats, the leading alternative lender to mid-sized SMEs, has provided an £8m funding package to support specialist healthcare investor Apposite Capital LLP, with the acquisition of Health & Case Management Ltd (HCML), a leading service provider in the rehabilitation and case management arena.
HCML was established in 2003 and specialises in providing case management & treatment services to the insurance industry, solicitors and the corporate & public sectors; assisting injured and ill individuals to recover and return to work or to their pre-injury condition.
Apposite Capital is an independent investment firm focused exclusively on healthcare. It backs companies operating in health and social care, med-tech & medical products, pharmaceuticals & life sciences, and digital health.
The seven figure funding will help facilitate the acquisition and supercharge the business’s growth plans. Tatsu Partners advised the deal with Stephenson Harwood providing legal support to Apposite and Goodman Derrick to HCML. John Hayward Partner at Gateley supported ThinCats on the transaction, whilst Noel Baden-Thomas Managing Partner at Phoenix BSC provided Corporate Finance advice to the shareholders of HCML.
